Café Nihonbashi is an extension of Nihonbashi Colombo, one of Sri Lanka’s exclusive washoku restaurants founded by renowned chef and restaurateur Dharshan Munidasa. Offering authentic Japanese cuisine, Nihonbashi means Japan Bridge and that has been reflected in their culinary masterpieces, using the finest Sri Lankan ingredients along with traditional Japanese culinary techniques giving true value to its name. Having been a staple in Colombo’s gastronomic landscape for over two decades, Nihonbashi has the distinction of being the first Sri Lankan restaurant to be ranked among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, maintaining its presence on this prestigious list for six consecutive years.

Café Nihonbashi at The Radh serves up casual washoku and our menu includes many Japanese favourites; Tempura, Okonomiyaki, Donburi, Sashimi and Sushi. The specially created Perahera Bento will take center stage, available year-round in celebration of the Esala Perahera; it is also available in a to-go format for visitors attending the Perahera.
